About Vinay

Earning his Masters of Accounting from the University of Waterloo, Vinay obtained his CA designation in 1999 and later completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course. Adept and knowledgeable in the intricacies of tax law, he provides small to medium enterprises with innovative tax and sound business advice that translate into bottom line savings. He specializes in tax planning and consulting on mergers and acquisitions, estates and trusts, corporate reorganizations and divestitures, creditor proofing, income tax appeals, and other domestic and international tax minimization strategies. He has provided tax advice in connection with over $1.5 billion in mergers and acquisitions activity and on trusts and estates with over $750 million in assets.

Vinay sees family as an extension to any business, and he is committed to ensuring that the needs of both are optimized. Thriving in the fast-paced environment of taxation, Vinay learns something new each day. He applies this curiosity and energy to his home life. When he isn’t finding creative solutions for his clients, he is a busy father of two sons. He maintains a focus on using his time well, enjoying golf, downhill skiing, yoga, and he meditates daily.

Vinay volunteers his time to several charitable organizations and has held several leadership roles, including as Director with the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce SME Committee, Soccer Coach with Oakville Soccer Club, amongst others. He has also been a trainer on his sons’ hockey teams. He is a member of 100 Guys Who Care, a collective of local businessmen that raises funds for Halton charities.
